Whale watching excursion in Tadoussac, QC brought us face to face (tail to tail?) with 'Snow White' as she had been dubbed. Scientists identify whales by the markings on the underside of their tails. They are as unique as fingerprints are to humans.

How lucky we were to spy a humpbacked whale while visiting the Tadoussac area of Québec, Canada. We found out later she was a 'known' visitor. The scientists have nick-named her Snow White.
